RE: Winter facilities

Campgrounds available in NY/PA would be few and far between during the winter months. Better do some checking before you decide. Happy Camping and Good Luck!

RE: Boston area to Lake George RV Park

Hi, Mass pike to 87 north is the best. Just don't hit 90 in albany around 3:30 to 6:00PM. (going home traffic). No tunnels here. You probably should use exit 20 on 87. Lake George RV is just a short distance from there.

RE: Smells like a scam--what do you think?

Be VERY,VERY careful. I could be fine, but is the possibility of losing $34K worth the chance?????

RE: How bad is 95 between Baltimore and Wilmington,NC?

I second I81 to I66 to I17 to I 95 . Brings you to I95 just above Fredericksburg. We've traveled this route to SC and Florida many, many times. I personally would avoid I95 from NYS to DC. Have a Safe trip!

RE: Campsites at Anastasia SP in Florida

We have stayed there many times and we prefer the Coquina Loop. Sites are a nice size and fairly private. Beautiful park! Have a Great Day!!!

RE: Looking for inexpensive Lake George Area Campground

There's also Lake George Battleground State Park, just south of the Village of Lake George and also King Phillips Camground on Rte 9 a little farther south of the village but closer to Great Escape. Have a Great Time!

RE: Lake George RV park

Plenty to do at this campground. They usually will not give you a specific site, however, they will put you in a specific area if you request. As previously stated, you can tell them you prefer a shaded site, or sunny site, etc. Fireworks are in the Village of Lake George. It's usually been free, but who knows now!!!! Parking can sometimes be difficult in the Village but there are a few parking lots and side street parking. Nice place to eat is on the eastside of the lake " East Cove Restaurant". As you come into the village take first right, which takes you to the boats, keep taveling that road. As you reach the top of the crest right in front of you, will be the East Cove Restaurant. Have a Great Time

RE: oops i forgot, now what?

I wouldn't use a gallon of Bleach!!!!! Kills the bacteria and by doing that it could cause a clog.. Use extra chemicals for the toilet and dump that next time you use it.

RE: Vista?

So glad you 've got the problem solved. Nothing more frustrating when you sit down at the computer and things are going wrong.

RE: What is it about holiday week/weekends?

Like many of you, on Holiday weekends we stay home. At least we have that option. To noisy, crowded, etc. for us. During the summer we're selective were we go, due to the number of people, kids, dogs etc. I love kids, but enough is enough. Happy Trails.

RE: 2008 Jayco23B vs. 2003 23B What to do?

Love the Jayco. We've had three trailers and now a Motorhome. Jayco's are well constructed in and out. We always purchase new, as previously said, you never know how someone has maintained it. If you really hate the interior color on the used, you will be sorry that you purchased it. Just remember you'll be living in it while your traveling. Can you really look at those colors all the time???? My vote is NEW!!!!!! Have a Great Day!!!!

RE: Vista?

Purchased a new Dell laptop back in November with Vista. Took a while to get used to it. There were times I wanted to throw it out the window. Now that I'm used to it, it's great. I have roadrunner thru Time Warner which also gives me AOL. I use AOL's spyware, virus scan and have the firewall thru Macfee. I found that others seem to block everything going. Macfee has its own system to identify the sites you use and therefore doesn't block. A small screen will popup asking if you want to allow a particular site. Now that I'm used to Vista I really like it. Wouldn't go back to XP although I have it on my other computer.

RE: Birmingham to Maine

JFG's directions are really good. I-495 joins I-95 around the Mass and New Hampshire border. At that point the traffic isn't bad on I-95 unless it's a Fri., Sat., or Sun. Have a Great Trip.

RE: Boston area travel

We've been traveling to Salisbury Beach twice a year for the past 15yrs.  Best route Mass. Pike I90 (exit 11A) to 495 (exit 55 )follow Rte 110 east into Salisbury - Take 1A right to Salisbury Beach State Reservation.DO NOT use 290.  Always under construction somewhere along that rte. and the trafffic is terrible.  There's a train station in Newburyport right across the river from Salisbury which will take you into Boston.Have a Great Day!
